About me

My name is Rasmus Anton.

I grew up near Tallinn, but my path to studying psychology began in New Zealand and continued in England, where I completed a master’s degree in psychology.

My international education and varied life experience have shaped my approach to character psychology. I have lived and worked in different cultures, which has given me a broad view of the world and a deeper understanding of how our relationships and life experiences shape our inner world.

As a therapist I offer a calm, safe and non-judgemental space where even the most difficult experiences can be talked about. I work from character psychology and trauma-informed practice, focusing on understanding a person’s inner patterns and creating lasting change. I am thorough and attentive, yet warm and human.

I support clients with questions of identity, trauma, the inner critic, relationship complexity and cultural adaptation. I also offer support in the context of victim support, helping people cope with violence, crisis situations and other life events that have become difficult experiences. Appointments are held in Estonian, English and Swedish.

Rasmus conducts sessions in Estonian, English and Swedish.

As a therapist Rasmus is calm, attentive and empathetic. He creates a safe environment where even difficult experiences can be talked about without judgement, shame or pressure. His working style is thorough and detail-oriented, yet warm and human.

I have also worked with Jamaica‘s largest psilocybin-assisted retreat centre, MycoMeditations, helping its clients integrate their experiences and deepen their understanding of personality psychology, so as to better understand themselves, social relationships and how interpersonal dynamics take shape.

Process

You do not need to come to therapy with ready answers or a perfect explanation. You do not have to know in advance what to talk about or where to begin. It is enough that there is something you want to understand better. The aim is not simply to recall the past, but to make sense of it in a way that can help reduce the emotional load tied to past experiences and support psychological healing.

Some former clients have described gaining more psychological insight into themselves and their experiences within a few sessions than they had managed to gather on their own over years. Every person and their story is different, however, and therapy always adapts to the needs and goals of the individual.

Together we look at what happened as thoroughly as possible – what the situation was, what the personalities and possible motives of the people involved were, how they perceived one another, and which psychological processes may have influenced their behaviour.

Rasmus’s approach to therapy has been shaped by thorough academic training and an exceptionally varied life experience. Born into an Estonian family, he has lived in nine different countries in Europe and elsewhere in the world. Living in different cultures and environments has given him a broad and open worldview and a deeper understanding of how our relationships, surroundings and life experiences influence who we become.

Rasmus’s path to studying psychology began in New Zealand and continued in the United Kingdom, where he completed a master’s degree in psychology. His international education and the life experience gathered over the years have shaped his approach to the complexity of being human – curious, open and non-judgemental.
